Borders Tutorial

These instructions are for Photoshop 7.0 because that is what I use. Some other versions of PS may have the tools in different places, but for the most part you should be able to figure out where things are.

After you download the BlairsBorders zip file you will need to unzip it. Most computers come with the tools to unzip a zip file already. It is a large file and you may have trouble if you are on dialup. After you unzip it, you will see the PSD file, an instructions file and a file of images for reference.  Just save them somewhere you know you can find them. I’d put them on my desktop, but that’s why my desktop is so cluttered! It's a good idea to burn the file to a CD for safekeeping.

The first thing you should understand is these are not an action. This is just a photoshop file, like any photo.  So you don't install or load anything. You just save it somewhere you know you can find it, like your desktop. To open it, while in Photoshop, just go to OPEN and navigate to where ever you saved it and click on it. You should also have the photo you are working on open in Photoshop.  Click here to go to the next page There is text at the bottom of the screen shot, so scroll down the page to see the text.
